Sausage Pinwheels by the New Moon Workshop

In memory of Ginny Falcsik and in honor of Dennis Falcsik

When we first moved to Tennessee in the early 1990’s, these pinwheels were super popular – people would bring them into the office to share, and you would see them passed around at brunch. I wasn’t sure if this was a southern thing, or just a popular treat at the time, but I jumped on the bandwagon and started making them too!

  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 pound of bulk sausage

On working surface, unroll crescent roll dough and press the perforations together to make one solid rectangle.

Spread uncooked sausage over the dough. Roll up, jelly roll style.

Cut slices (about 1/2 inch thick) and place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 for about 15-18 minutes or until sausage is cooked through and rolls are lightly browned.
